Applications for Master of Arts Programs are now open
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences is one of Nazarbayev University’s largest schools and its programs are designed to train leaders in all aspects of social development and to have versatile knowledge in the field of social, liberal and natural sciences. SHSS is glad to announce that the applications for the following graduate programs are now open:
Minimum admission requirements for all graduate programs are:
- an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, to be determined by the Admissions Committee;
- a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00;
- IELTS – no less than 7.0 overall for MA in Eurasian Studies and MA in Political Science and International Relationsand no less than 6.5 for MA in Economics (with sub-score requirements no less than 6.0), or the equivalent TOEFL score as posted on the ETS website.
Applicants are required to complete and submit the online application form which is available on the Nazarbayev University website. Applicants must also submit a completed package of admission documents, before the deadline. All admissions documents must be submitted electronically.
Opportunities are available to apply for a state grant from the Ministry of Education (only for Kazakhstani citizens) or an internal Nazarbayev University grant (for international students).
Certain tuition fee discounts are available (from 25% to 90%) to orphans, disabled individuals, large families, winners of Olympic games, oralmans, school diplomas with honors, and foreign citizens.
