First ever NU Philosophy Speakers Series on February 21!
Philosophy@NU is proud to bring you the NU Philosophy Speakers Series. Our series will present exciting and provocative talks of high academic quality which are accessible to a broad audience. We have an incredibly exciting line up.
Our first event will be a Q&A session with Peter Singer, one of the most famous living philosophers. The Q&A session will be preceded by a brief introductory video of Singer presenting his ideas on the topic of effective altruism.
Peter Singer has argued that our duties to alleviate poverty and suffering go far beyond what most people take for granted. His work has inspired people all over the world to change the way they live. Come and be inspired!
The event will take place on:
Tuesday, February 21st at 1p.m.
in Room 1010, Block C3 (opposite Midpoint Astana Cafe).
