Dr. Anara Molkenova is a postdoctoral scholar of the Department of Chemistry at the School of Science and Humanities. Dr. Molkenova received her MSc degree in Nanotechnology from University College London in 2011, and a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2015. From 2018, she joined the Advanced Nanomaterials Laboratory research group led by Professor T.S. Atabaev. Her general research agenda is the synthesis and applications of functional nanomaterials for biomedical, sensing & energy applications. Anara was awarded an Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology Award in 2011 and a Hosokawa Powder Technology KONA award in 2015, which recognized her research contribution in the area of nanotechnology and powder technology. Dr Molkenova participated in the Techwoman program (Silicon Valley, USA) in 2017 and Global Young Scientists Summit (Singapore) in 2020. She is currently a member of the American Chemical Society of USA.
