Diana Kopbayeva holds a PhD in Sociology from Newcastle University, United Kingdom. She specializes in nation-building, state discourses of the nation, and political employment of the notion of Eurasianism in Kazakhstan. At Nazarbayev University, Diana teaches History of Kazakhstan. Diana is a holder of the Bolashak International Scholarship.
