Inzhuna Karazhanova is an Instructor at the Writing Center Program, School of Sciences and Humanities. She holds a Master of Arts with Honours in Politics from University of Edinburgh and a Master of Arts in Eurasian Studies from Nazarbayev University. Prior to coming to NU, she gained experience working in civil service, as well as both government and private research centres. Inzhuna currently teaches first-year Rhetoric & Composition and the Writing Fellows courses. As an alumna of an NU Master’s program, she also provides dedicated writing support to our university’s graduate students. Inzhuna wrote her Master’s thesis on representations of monstrous womanhood in Kazakh fairytales, and her research interests thus can be broadly defined as applying critical theory (feminism, queer studies, Marxism, post-colonialism) to analysing and interpreting stories.
