Raushan Myrzabekova has been employed at Nazarbayev University as an instructor of the Department of Kazakh Language and Turkic Studies since 2011. She teaches intermediate and advanced levels of the Kazakh language. She used to teach the course Rhetoric and the course Business Etiquette, now she is teaching the course Academic Kazakh II. In summer 2014 (June 8 – August 12) Raushan taught advanced level History of Kazakh Literature and intermediate level Kazakh and in summer 2017 (June 12 – August 11), 2018 (June 18– August 10), elementary level Kazakh in summer 2019 (June 17- August 9) at the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Central Eurasian Studies Summer Institute.
Before joining NU, she taught the Kazakh language and literature at the Kazakh-Turkish High School for gifted boys in Astana, and school No.6 of Karaganda region.
She holds a master’s degree in philology from Zhezkazgan University named after O. A. Baikonurov. She earned her undergraduate degree in Kazakh language and literature from the same university.

Increase Communicative Practice and Opportunities for Differentiation with a Flipped learning Approach” conducted at SSH and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

She has completed a number of professional development courses in the Republican Institute of Professional Development for Teachers in Almaty and “Daryn” Republican Center, such as “Methods of teaching the Kazakh language”, “Development of critical thinking through reading and writing”, “Creative designing for teacher”, “Application of IT at the lessons of Kazakh language and literature”, “Talented teacher for a gifted student”, “Teaching methods as a basis for qualitative knowledge”.
Raushan has received a number of awards and appreciation letters: Certificate of Appreciation The School of Sciences and Humanities (2018), a letter of gratitude from the President of NU, Shigeo Katsu (2015), diploma for the second place in of the Republican Competition “The best signature program”, diplomas for the second, and third places in the Republican Competition among teachers of the Kazakh Language organized by the KATEV International Public Fund, letter of Gratitude from the Executive Government of Astana City Administration, letter of gratitude from Astana Municipal Department of Education, letter of gratitude from Karaganda Regional Administration.
