Research Interest
Computational quantum mechanics and span fundamental and applied work in quantum chemistry, electronic structure, quantum few-body systems, atomic and molecular physics, quantum dynamics, and nanoscience.
Sergiy Bubin joined Nazarbayev University as an Assistant Professor in the summer of 2014 and was promoted to an Associate Professor in 2016. He was born and raised in Kazakhstan and educated in Ukraine (BS/MS in physics; Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, 1999) and the USA (PhD in physics; University of Arizona, 2006). Prior to coming to Nazarbayev University, he held postdoctoral appointments at the University of Arizona, Quantum Chemistry Research Institute (Kyoto, Japan), Vanderbilt University, and the University of Rochester.
