Ti Wu is an Instructor in the Writing Center Program, SHSS. She earned her Master’s degree in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she also developed her interests in Writing Studies. Before living in California, she grew up in China and received her Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Ti has taught and worked with students in various settings, including classroom instruction, peer advising, and program coordination. These experiences and community dialogues brought her an understanding of context-based teaching/writing. At Nazarbayev University, Ti teaches first-year Rhetoric and Composition courses. Her current interests are to assist students in developing their writing through their own voice and through the writing process. She looks forward to discussing academic writing with students in the classroom, during office hours, and in other extended academic settings. In addition, Ti likes to travel and write poems about interesting encounters on the road. She drinks coffee while writing and enjoys the pleasure of baking for community events.
