Доктор Манникс П. Баланай получил степень доктора физико-химических наук в Кунсанском национальном университете в Корее. После окончания университета он был нанят профессором исследований в том же университете. Доктор Баланай родом из Филиппин и до приезда в Корею он был инструктором в Государственном колледже Сикихор и в Силлиманском университете. Его работа применяет как вычислительные, так и экспериментальные методы для изучения различных материалов, актуальных для современных потребностей общества, таких как энергетика и окружающая среда.
