Nazarbayev University hosted a republican student scientific conference “JAS GALYM-IV” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov
Organizers: Department of “Kazakh language and Turkic studies” of the Nazarbayev University School of Sciences and Humanities and the International Association of Teachers of the Kazakh language.
The conference was traditionally held at Nazarbayev University for the 4th time this year. In 2019, for the first time, the exhibition of student scientific posters “Young Scientist-I” was organized among students of Nazarbayev University. In 2020, the student exhibition “Young Scientist-II” was organized jointly with Nazarbayev University and the University of Nur-Sultan. In 2021, despite the difficult pandemic situation in the country, “Young Scientist III” was held online at the national level. In 2022, the “Young Scientist-IV” was held at the national level in the format of a student scientific conference on a new channel.
67 students, undergraduates and doctoral students applied for participation in the conference “Young Scientist-IV”. Scientific reports were selected, as a result of which the scientific work of 54 selected students took part in the conference. Students defended their scientific papers in front of a qualified jury and the audience.
News of the conference: On the conference platform, students of Shakarim University of Semipalatinsk M.G. Nasyrov and AM Duisenbekov for the first time presented a collection of rare digital manuscripts preserved in Semipalatinsk mosques dating back to the 19th century; Aliya Elshibai, a first-year student of Chemistry at Nazarbayev University, for the first time presented a business project “Making ice cream from mare’s milk” for scientific discussion; at al-Farabi. Damir Karimov, a student of the Kazakh National University, presented a textbook “The role of debate in improving cognitive functionality.”
