NU SSH Professor Piotr Skrzypacz’s student won the First Prize in IMC 2022
The 29th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMC) for university students was held in Bulgaria from 1 to 7 August, 2022. This year’s competition was organized by University College London and hosted by the American University in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
IMC is one of the most prestigious math competitions for undergraduate students in the world, in which SEDS student Arman Bolatov participated this year.
We would like to note the invaluable support of our Associate Professor Piotr Skrzypacz for the preparation of Arman for this Olympiad and assistance in providing sets of problems and solving past problems of IMC, Putnam and the Romanian MoD. Also, Arman is a member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics club (SIAM) mentored by Professor Skrzypacz.
