Summer Archaeology Camp at NU!
Looking for a unique activity for your busy child this summer?
We are pleased to offer PASTS, a new English-language archaeology camp for young students located at Nazarbayev University!
This hands-on program connects students with professional archaeologists and undergraduate students of archaeology to provide a truly memorable learning experience. Through a variety of engaging hands-on activities and excavating like an archaeologist, students will learn what archaeology is and how we can learn about the past by doing it. At the end of the week, they will be able to take home the outputs of their activities, plus receive an at-home excavation kit and an activity guide to continue learning about archaeology.
After completing the program, students will
- have an introductory understanding of what archaeology is;
- be able to identify some things and places archaeologists study;
- be exposed to some important archaeological sites in Kazakhstan;
- have a basic understanding of why archaeology is a unique and important discipline.
