The first seminar on Astrophysics at the Nazarbayev University School of Sciences and Humanities
The School of Sciences and Humanities of Nazarbayev University is pleased to announce the first monthly seminar on Astrophysics. The Astro is the community of Nazarbayev University on astrophysics which is open to a large public.
At the first seminar, Dana Alina, assistant professor of physics department, explained what Astrophysics is and how it is related to Astronomy and Cosmology.
She also gave an overview of the ongoing research projects. The talk was followed by a lively discussion among high-school students from Astana Garden School, NU students, visitors, and researchers on different topics about astrophysics, cosmology, and general relativity.
