Graduate student from Mexico is studying koumiss
Great steppe culture and Kazakh national cuisine are attracting great interest among foreigners. For example, Sandra Real from Mexico is currently exploring the koumiss nutritious drink. Sandra’s interest in the national drink grew stronger as she learned that in addition to taste, this drink helps to cure many diseases. Therefore, her first thesis in undergraduate school was devoted to the composition of national dairy products and studied the technology of preparing such beverages as koumiss, shubat, airan.
«As we know, there are many types of dairy products in Kazakhstan but in Mexico, you will not find them here simply on the shelves» explains Sandra. Sandra’s dream is now to share the sweetness of koumiss with friends and family in Mexico. For now, the future scientist Sandra Real is learning the Kazakh language along with the study of koumiss.
